Collecting on prescribed accounts

So DMC decides to call me after my debt has prescribed, claiming I disturbed prescription,I asked them to send me the recording of the phone call ,guess what the could not give me the recording instead the provided a reference number I don't know for what ,I asked for a statement the and guess what it started after the the account had prescribed

Please assist with these companies that don't follow procedures cause it affects our lives
