Not sending in an order

I had gone there to order an nomination link. They had told me they would send it through to their head office to place the order. they told me it would take 6 weeks to be delivered to their store. 5 weeks later I received a phone call telling me that they called the head office the day before the call (5 weeks after I had been there) telling med that the item I ordered was discontinued! why did it take them 5 week to send in my order ?!?!?!
