DJI Drones - Worst Investment Ever

I would like to voice my intense frustration with DJI. No more than 8 months ago, I purchased a Phantom 4 drone for the not-so-cheap price of R30 000 with my own hard earned money. I did this as a business investment since I wanted to start a photography / video company. I successfully marketed and completed several projects until recently, by no fault of my own, the camera started to pixilate the video and photos. As you can imagine, this is devastating to my business. I immediately returned to the store to find the fault, and they responded by saying there is nothing they can do with regards to repairing the camera under guarantee. I had a very rude awakening when I was informed that the guarantee on the camera is only 6 months?? Nobody told me this was the terms of the guarantee and that for a product that is VERY EXPENSIVE!! They also informed me that if I wanted it repaired, I had to send it back to the USA on MY OWN COSTS. They cannot do any repairs in South Africa. That is unacceptable! Why then do you have agents in South Africa if I have to deal directly with DJI Global whenever there is a problem? I would also like to mention that is took DJI Global Head Office more than 5 WEEKS to get back to me (via the agent) about the faulty camera. I submitted my request on the 23rd of January, and I only got a reply today (6 March 2017). I have been losing business as a result of this mess. I am stuck without my biggest asset which I used to film weddings and sporting events. I am truly upset that Head Office has the nerve to just brush it off.

The other point that is very frustrating is that these same models are now retailing for R18 000. That is a R12 000 difference! What a waste of an investment. The after sales service, I am sad to say, is pathetic - bordering on non-exsistant. AND to have the value decrease by 40% in less than a year is SHOCKING to say the least. I am very disappointed. I feel like I should never have bought this drone. I will discourage anyone from supporting this company!
To make matters worse, I have found that my problem with my camera is NOT UNIQUE. After checking on various internet forums, I found that there are other people just like me experiencing the same problem. In fact, DJI knows that this has been a frequent issue with the Phantom 4, and yet when I contacted them regarding the issue, they try every trick in the book to get out of it. This is not acceptable, and I won't be put down so easily. I honestly expect DJI to step up to plate and take responsibility for the fault with their technology. I am unwilling to just let R30 000 go down the drain! It's a loss I cannot afford, and I want to warn all other potential customers of DJI to stay away. Don't get caught like I did.
