DJI Drone Software No Longer Available

I have two DJI drones and believe they are the best there is, a Phantom3 Pro and the smaller Spark (both discontinued I believe) I have flown the Phantom for some years using the software with an iPad. The battery on the iPad has become faulty and the full charge only lasts about 20 minutes. I needed to download the DJI Go software onto my iPhone so I could fly the drone. When the software had loaded the DJI Inspire showed up on the screen and this was obviously not the correct software for the Phantom. I tried this three times with the same results. I then contacted DJI abroad to tell them about this problem, only to be told that the software for the Phantom is no longer available and discontinued. Well, how about that Mr. Consumer, take your R30,000 drone and throw it in the dustbin. In desperation, I started contacting the local authorized DJI dealerships in SA, they came back with the same answers. I then contacted a friend of mine who bought a used Phantom a few months back to ask him how he got around this problem. He told me that the software for the Phantom is on the DJI Go platform but you have to slide the Inspire screen to get to it. No matter how DJI or the local representatives paint this picture, that is not what they said. They all agreed and told me that the software is no longer available yet one can download the DJI Go app from the store. This is really a bad show, DJI drones are not cheap and consumers should know what they are dealing with.
