VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE

We ordered a 3D Printer from DIY Electronics and it was delivered on Wednesday 23 February. We assembled the unit and ran a test project that evening. Unfortunately it took many hours to print a small item and we realised that this model was not suitable for our purposes. In view of the companys advertised 7 Day Cooling Off period we contacted them on Thursday 24 February and requested that we be able to return the item for a full refund less any Admin fees but this request wes refused as the item had been used (once). We queried as to how we could establish if the machine was working and its capabilities without testing it but to no avail. It makes no sense to have a Cooling Off period that only applies if the item is not removed from the box! Clearly we have been spoilt by the excellent returns policies of companies such as Takealot and following this very costly experience we will certainly not be buying anything from DIY Electronics ever again.
