Bad attitude of waitering staff

I love going to Dixies, they are my local pub and the restaurant has good food. Today, however, the very brief visit left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth. Upon arrival I stood there like a lost soul waiting for someone to come and take my temperature (as the sign indicates by the entrance), eventually I decided to start with the sanitiser provided. This is a sticky gel-like substance which was not very pleasant. I waited a while longer, when a waitron finally made his way over to me. Not to take my temperature but to ask me not once, but three times how many people where in my party - I was standing alone in the entrance, and al three times I did say "ONE only please". I then mentioned, in an upbeat comment to him that the sanitising gel is not nice, he then insisted on arguing with me about the gel... Now, correct me if I am wrong; but has COVID-19 not impacted all business negatively? Yet, you seem to have the audacity to argue with a customer who, was there so look for nice spots for an upcoming bike rally. So your business is booming well enough to drive potential clientele away with the bad attitude of your waitering staff? I did not engage in further conversation, no one attempted to take my temperature or tried to find out why I turned around on the spot to leave.

This is not very professional, and I doubt I will return soon.
