Malpractice and Negligence
Malpractice and Negligence
I have recently been tracked down by the ITCS tracing company that was contracted by Distillers Corporation to track down over 2000 policy holders that has not claimed from their policy to go and study after school full time at a university.
Distillers' employee benefits are currently with Alexander Forbes.
My father was an employee of Distillers when he passed away, one of the benefits of the policy was that when his children become of age, they would have the opportunity to go and study full time at a university.
After multiple many back and forth emails send to explain the situation that with a single parent (my mother) who is a nurse and had to take care of 3 children she didn’t have the funds to send us to university.
Nor was there a phone call or email send to her to notify her of the opportunity we missed to go and study full time.
My siblings and I missed out on this opportunity to further our education, which by law is a right that was taken away from us.
After 10 years they now want us to submit our documents to proof that we were full time students to claim back the funds which is impossible as to study full time there was no funds and my mother could not sign surety on her salary.
There are more than 2000 young adults out there with normal jobs that could off studied full time if Distiller’s did their job and contacted the policy holders to inform them of this information.
They have now simply sent me an email saying sorry we have missed the opportunity and there is nothing we can do about it.
This is so disrespectful in my father's memory who thought that his children would have the opportunity to study full time.
If this has happened to you or anyone you know of, please send me an email on *** I have a 4-page document to send in a complaint to the Pension fund adjudicator.
If this story has touched your heart and feel like this is unfair, please leave a comment or share as we would like to get in touch with the other 2000 people that has missed out.
If we stand together, they would have to relook at this mistake and fix it.
Please share on all platforms and leave a comment if you agree so we can get as much attention as possible.
Your assistance would be much appreciated.
