IS DISKYAPP RISKY?
I used the WhatsApp route to renew my vehicle licence disk through the service that DiskyApp offers in conjunction with the SUPA QUICK GROUP. At a R 169.00 fee and you collect the new disk at a SUPA QUICK branch of your choice. So do your homework and check what your licence renewal fee is currently, including your transaction fee, add R 169.00, and wallah, job done and within 10 days you will be notified that your disk is ready for collection. Yes it can work that way, but for me it didn't. As I only did the transaction on the 5th October (Yesterday) I don't know IF and WHEN my disk will be ready for collection. So this review is to let the public know about the incident that prompted me to report on it. While I was busy with the payment via my banking app, I thought for a fleeting moment that there was a discrepancy in the amount at the CHECK-OUT, I shrugged it off as I had already confirmed and accepted the amount of the disk at R546.00 and the fee to DiskyApp at R169.00. After the transaction was completed , I did notice that the original amount was inflated at the CHECK-OUT by R134.00. I went onto NaTIS site to double check the cost in case there were some sort of extra charges levelled on my licence, but the site gave me a cost of R 546.00. I send a query to the advertised "***" but I have had no reply up to this afternoon. Their terms and conditions link does not exist, so I could not check on that. Hopefully it is just a startup glitch and SUPA QUICK's name won't be dragged through the muddy aftermath. I am holding both thumbs!
So, after numerous sms"s, emails and WhatsApp messages send to DiskyApp, I finally had a response, after 3 months, asking me for my Banking details in order to refund me the overcharged amount, and a month later the amount was deposited into my account. So although it took a long time and a lot of effort, I was fairly happy with the outcome. Would I recommend this service, Read my report and make your choice based on that.
