DSTV installers with ulterior motives

Innocent is not so innocent!

Innocent and his partner in crime were called out to help repair a poor DSTV signal in our apartment block. I was accompanying them for most of the time that they were on the property. They took about 10 minutes to repair a faulty cable which resolved our issue but then they invoiced us R6550 for parts and labour. One of the parts was an LMB for R4500 which they could not prove was replaced.

They then proceeded to take our already existing LMB. I then called the cops to help resolve the issue and they very quickly left in a rush before they could arrive. Now we have absolutely no DSTV connection and we're going to have to fork out some more money to replace the LMB that they stole. Fortunately, it won't cost R6550 to get fixed.

Please use an accredited DSTV installer. They should be able to show you their accreditation. If they do not, then don't let them in the property.
