Why did you cancel my Gym Membership?

Agent advised that R175/R180 is required to activate vitality rewards at Planet Fitness. Because the discount on gym membership was one of the main motivators for taking vitality, we concluded the sale. Planet Fitness advised the required amount is R1700 and thereafter monthly payment of R175. Email was sent to Vitality advising of this and that if it is true, there is no longer an interest in the product as the agent was misleading. There was no acknowledgement, no response to my complaint, no update on what is to be done, except for my MEMBERSHIP BEING CANCELLED at Planet Fitness!

What authority does Discovery Vitality have to cancel my gym membership which was taken prior to my taking up Vitality and also has absolutely NOTHING to do with you??

Your agent misled me, which is true considering that you simply cancelled the contract and my membership following receipt of my email complaint and did not even bother doing a follow-up. Who on earth gave you authority to cancel my gym membership and on what grounds? This membership was taken privately and only my medical aid discount app**** which just so happens to not be Discovery. So what grounds do you have for cancelling a product that has nothing to do with you just because i expressed displeasure with your supposed service?
