Vitality Rewards are a waste of time and consultants do not understand their products
Discovery Vitality has provide poor or no service. They advertise really cool benefits but in reality they look for every way not to payout these fancy rewards that they offer. There are always bugs on their system and this is not the first time this has happened. You can look at my previous review on the flight booster issue I experienced. Now I have an issue with gym booster. My spouse and I have met our active rewards goal for the month of January 2019. But they only payout in the middle of February. I qualify for the cashback for goals achieved in Jan because I was on Virgin Active Club membership and I achieved 3 or more goals each for both myself and spouse. On the 1 Feb I changed my Virgin Active membership to premium membership so I fully understand that I will not be eligible for any cashback for any goals made after 1 February 2019. I am still entitled for my January cashback as I was on the correct membership and achieved the necessary goals. Their consultants sent me a generic response as usual saying that I am on Virgin Active Premier from 1 Feb 2019 and do not qualify for any cash backs. It is so frustrating explaining to Vitality consultants on their own products and how it works. It is not my problem that Vitality does their payout in the next month and does not cater for this scenario because they seem to use the current date of payout to determine eligibility instead of checking if the client was on the applicable plan at the time of achieving their goals. So many bugs but they try to advertise coolest rewards that do not materialize in reality
