Vitality cancel gym membership without notice
On 1 February upon entering the gym, I was advised that my membership was cancelled. After holding on for 40 minutes, I managed to speak to a call centre agent at Vitality. They gave me a reference number and advised that they would escalate the matter. It appears that Vitality claimed my account has not been paid since October 2015, however I was not informed of this and my account was debited monthly by Virgin Active. After almost a month of phoning non-stop and holding on average for 30 minutes before speaking to a call centre agent (having to repeatedly explain the situation as they were not allowed to put me through to the back office), my membership was finally re-instated. No apologies or explanation were given for this huge inconvenience.<br> Now, my membership is re-instated, but now Im being debited by both Vitality and Virgin Active. Ive logged another complaint a week and a half ago and still now one from Vitality contacted me to explain what is happening. At this point its not clear whether I am supposed to pay 2 installments each month. I am very disappointing in Vitality's bad service.
