Vitality Active rewards, can't reward true fitness
Apple Watch promotion. First 9 workouts worked like a charm, got 300 points and achieved goal. As soon as goals started counting towards watch repayment of workouts stopped meeting requirements for 300 points. I am fit, going to gym at least 6 times a week, and prior to signup for Apple Watch never missed an Active rewards goal. Contacted Discovery who informed me it was my problem and if watch doesn't work they can't help. Apple exchanged the watch, no change though. Disappointed that I am trapped paying for the watch, which I only got because I knew it was a good deal based on my fitness. Suspicious of Discovery, and can't believe their attitude. Will never buy another Apple product. Certainly considering moving from Discovery, can't buy from business I can't trust.
Thank you for your post.
With your Apple Watch, we understand your issue very clearly and we have spoken with our Systems team and we are unable to help you further with the heart rate accuracy. You will need to take your Watch back to the iStore from where you purchased it and they will have to assist you as only Apple can resolve the heart rate reliability with you. We would assist you further with this but this is a device issue and it's the manufacturer`s responsibility.
Vitality is a dynamic programme in which the behavioural economics model is designed to consistently encourage you to improve your health. As a scientific-based wellness programme we strive to deliver on Discovery's core purpose of making people healthier. To do this, we need to reward Vitality members for clinically relevant and verifiable exercise in order to help them improve their health and wellbeing.
In addition, we acknowledge that these points changes will impact our members on Vitality Active Rewards and we have therefore decided to recalculate every Vitality Active Rewards members' goal in order to account for these changes.
