System will take 51 days to process a refund

Vitality has increased member contributions for Virgin Active from 20% to 25% effective 1st January 2016, BUT this does not apply to members in their first 12 months of their contract. Vitality is aware of this, but will only process EACH MONTHs refund 51 days after the incorrect deductions are made. This was not communicated to me anywhere, I discovered this when reading the fine print on the January newsletter.
After three calls to the Vitality call centre, many promises and several hour long discussions, I'm told that they note my complaint but the system will not allow for a refund any sooner.

Not only is this terrible customer service/care, I question the legality of holding onto not only my money, but who knows how many other members money for 51 days, whilst gathering interest that is not returned to the customer.

Senior Management and the Finance department need to take responsibility stop blaming a system they designed and implemented.
