Shoe Booster Exploitation

I have always been a very enthusiastic Vitality member, enjoying the programme and health & fitness incentives, however after this episode I have been left frustrated, disappointed and exploited.

I activated my Shoe Booster and in order to get the full 100% cash back I also did the Vitality Age Assessment and had my Vitality Fitness Assessment done at the Discovery Store in Stellenbosch. The fitness assessment was done 1 February 2017, and points should reflect within 1 week according to the Vitality website.

However, after two and a half weeks, 4 emails and 3 calls and as many promises that they are working on it and that it is in the process of being captured and that my query has been escalated, still nothing.

Since one has only 30 days to buy running shoes on the shoe booster in order to be eligible for the cash back, it becomes a problem when the fitness assessment points takes more than 3 weeks to be captured. This means one has paid R375 for the assessment and are not getting the additional 10% cash back.

Thus the only conclusion I can come to after my numerous communications with Vitality on this matter is that Discovery Vitality is deliberately postponing the capturing of these points in order to prevent the additional cash back.

Hence, Vitality, you will be relieved to konw I shall be buying my running shoes this weekend (tomorrow) as I have run out of time in order to be eligible for cash back under the Shoe Booster, hence you can load my points without having to pay me back the additional 10% I should be getting for doing the fitness assessment.
