Shocking Joining Fees for Healthy Members

I'm Brand loyal.. I always have been..

So when it came time (and I could afford to again) I went straight to discovery to get Medical Aid and Vitality.

Very excited to get fit again I run off to Virgin Active with My Boyfriend.. "R2200 Joining fee please"

Excuse me? We were joining in a month where if you joined Virgin Active your Joining fee would be Like R450... But we do not qualify because we were members before?

Sharks. Honestly here are the sums.

Non-Vitality Fees for the Year for both of us: R9600

With Vitality: R5280 (Fees) + R4400 (Joining) = R9680

Where do we save? They Save by having us fit! Big Thumbs Down .

Discovery Ran a special for the Month or July and August that lowered their Joining Fee to R799 which is much more reasonable. Maybe they need to consider keeping it @R799 indefinitely? Needless to say, I am now a happy Virgin Active and Discovery Vitality Client again.
