Pure arrogance is the norm

<p>After selecting my active rewards that EXPLICITLY state that they are valid til after 31 March kauai rejected it. I complain to discovery and their comeback is that somewhere on some small print it says the expiry is on 31 March. </p> <p> </p> <p>Obvious contradiction and a terrible attitude toward customer service especially considering the blatant error. </p>

Good day Gideon,

Kindly note that the campaign ended in March and this was stipulated on the Discovery Website.

The end date was not in small print.

Please let us know if you have any further queries.

Regards

Vitality Team

Well it certainly is not as accessible as the very contradictory info you give on your app (which is very accessible). If you were to interpret the term "small print" figuratively, I think the logical person would hastily find that it does apply (comparative information accesibility) and stop arguing semantics (even more so if I represented customer service of a large company and this portrayed nonconciliatory attitude).

Ultimately, contradictory info is to the detriment of the seller, not the consumer - as it is false advertising. You are obliged to supply what you promised which is 3 small drinks and R30 off a 3 meals. Also, I think an apology is due as well as adequate compensation for the fact that you wasted 90 minutes of my time when I was initially rebuffed by Kauai (and this time squabbling with customer service).
