Punishment or Reward

I been a Discovery Vitality Member for years. The majority of that time my gym visits were never an issue with 10 to 12 visits a month. The past year I had some health issues. Last year September during a trip to the UK I broke my leg. On my return I had to undergo surgery and had some issues with the leg since then which made exercising difficult. I work in Johannesburh and stay there during the week. for that reason I moved my membership there, but I live in Potch. So when in Potch I am unable to visit the gym due to membership constraints. During the year I also had other health issues as being diagnosed with autoimune desease. In July again I was admitted to hospital for almost 2 weeks first for pulmanary related issues and then kidney stones. With recovery time spending almost 28 days in Potchefstroom. Again not being able to go to gym, meant that I missed my 36 rolling gym visits by 2 by the end of July. I wrote an email to Vitality. I made a phone call. to no avail. my membership was cancelled and I had to jion again, loosing the benefits that I had up to that point.

I don't think that this is the way to handle long standing customers. Especially for a group who is starting a banking campaign claiming that they are using your behaviour to determine the way they structure your banking. If you would have reviewed my behaviour not just over the recent 12 months but over 20 years then you would have treated my vase differently.
