Pregnant and Vitality cancelled
I informed Discovery that I was pregnant and was not able to keep to my required gym membership. I first called in, queried the process and then sent in two communications with no response. My pregnancy was difficult and I experienced some complications. I ended up having my baby 3 weeks early due to these health issues. Whilst recovering from my c section my gym membership was cancelled. I contacted Discovery resent my communications and I got a snotty reply 4 days before month end, reinstating my membership insisting that I make 3 gym visits before month end. This was whilst I was recovering from my surgery. I did this and kept up to 3 minimum gym visits a month and again my membership has been cancelled once again due to not making the required gym visits whilst I was pregnant and recovering from birth. Whilst I understand and appreciate the process, surely at some point fairness and common sense should prevail. You should be forced to go to the gym when your health will be compromised! I have had vitality for over 15 years and it seems that Discovery is pushing to get monthly gym premiums from me and don't care about anything but increasing revenue. This is bad service and not treating loyal customers well.
