Not much of a Discovery

My husband and I have been with Discovery Vitality for several years. We both had Diamond status beginning of this year. We were with Bestmed Medical aid until end of last year and moved to Discovery medical aid seeing as this was advised as we also have our life policies at Discovery. We both had separate vitality accounts for the last few years and INVESTIGATED to merge our vitality accounts seeing as we have their medical aid now and we wanted our son and daughter on Vitality. Let me mention again we only investigated, we did not authorize this merge yet as we wanted to make sure that we would both keep our Diamond status which we were assured by both our financial adviser AND Discovery that we would. Our accounts were merged automatically without our 'go ahead' and we were told the 'system' did it automatically. When this happened we were told the 'system' picked up multiple duplicate accounts. This caused both our accounts to stop working, no points were allocated for weeks. We also both lost our status, we went to Blue status. This was two months ago. After SEVERAL phone calls trying to sort this out AND recorded phone calls telling us we will get our Diamond status back we have yet to see this. We have been moved to Gold but not Diamond yet and this has caused plenty of lost benefits for us both with work regarding booking flights etc through Vitality where we got better rates only to be told now that we haven't been on Discovery Vitality long enough to qualify for benefits!!! ***!!! Every time we phone Discovery Vitality we are told the same thing ' your query has been logged for further investigation, we will call you back' - uhm, we are still waiting?! Both of us have been charged the full rate for Virgin Active gym fees too which just adds another frustration to sort out! We are extremely disappointed and are considering to cancel all our policies with Discovery if this does not get resolved. How difficult can it be to merge accounts and to keep the status we originally had and were promised we would keep. We are giving this one last chance to get sorted out by using hellopeter.
