No hotel discount offered

Vitality travel is getting more of a disappointment by the day. I tried to book into a hotel for December - according to the vitality booking system no rooms are left, however when I book on the hotel's website directly, they still have plenty of rooms available for the same period. What is the point in advertising reduced hotel rates if you do not intent offering it.
