Moving the goal posts

It is once again this time of the year when Vitality is moving the goal posts. According to their euphemistic gibberish exciting new benefits are coming up. If you look at the bare facts the erosion of existing benefits continues. Just a few examples:<br> <br> Last year they slashed the Vitality status of many loyal customers by abolishing the carry over points.<br> <br> This year the maximum amount qualifying for cash back in a partner store has been reduced from 30% to 20% of your total DiscoveryCard spending in a billing period.<br> <br> Next year the plot continues by reducing the points per gym visit from 150 to 100.<br> <br> Price increase in 2016 from R185 to R199 = 7.6%, as usual well ahead of the inflation rate (CPI) of currently 4.7%.<br> <br> Don't try to see the Emperor's New Clothes. He is naked! He is not only naked, he has soiled himself and smells.<br>
