Is Vitality rewards a ****?

Discovery receives a lot of accolades in the press, but I wonder how many members actually check their Vitality rewards, and if their is any information in the public domain on what has actually been paid out? Gym and pre-granted discounts should be instant so no one can dispute that, but what about the 25% on schedule 1 and 2 medication (MedSaver), the new Healthy Care, Healthy Food, Healthy Gear and Discovery Miles? I seriously question the calculation, timeous payout and if people actually do get something out of it? After spending a lot of time on the phone, sending numerous e-mails (even asking that I not be phoned, but answered in writing), it is clear that if you don't keep every single receipt on file, Discovery easily pulls up their shoulders and blame it on third parties (poor pharmacies)! I had MedSaver credits that disappeared off their website on 31 January (the name apparently changed), but now they want scripts for the schedule 1 and 2 items. You don't have to be a doctor to know that it is over-the-counter medication. I wonder how many members' vitality rewards 'disappeared' overnight like mine? Pity my debit order is always on time.
