Get Rewarded Lie
The Vitality team of Discovery makes it impossible to earn points. Participated in two outdoor (trail running) events, but no points awarded. I need to carry a Fitbit or other similar device. Why? I am wearing a timing chip (which I had to buy), entered by paying a neat R100 per entry and the timing device is scanned (registered to my name & ID number). These results are on the official website of the timing company. Yet that is not acceptable by the Vitality program. I wonder whether I should still even BE on this program. They accept only a few events on their "events calendar" - but not even a huge event such as the SAD appears on this calendar. What a miserable joke. The logo Get Healthy Get Rewarded is a huge misinterpretation.

We moved towards only awarding Vitality points for data that has been verified and sent to us post-race. By receiving this timed and verified data at the end of a race, we receive proof that members have completed an event.
The following timing companies have integrated with Discovery Vitality so that Vitality members can earn points for completing their event:
- Racetec
- Racetime
- ESC
- ROAG
We would like to continue to offer Vitality members more opportunities to take part in other events and earn points, and will consider other timing companies so that we can expand the Vitality race calendar. These additional timing companies need to integrate with us and send the results for their respective races.
Also, we realize there aren’t enough road races on the calendar and we are currently working on solutions to try and include more of these events and we encourage our members to check the calendar continuously for new events. In the interim there will be certain events where the timing company hasn’t integrated with us and we are not able to receive the results and we will be at these events with a points station for members to be able to come past and earn their points for this event.
