False advertising of new Discovery Rewards system with not being able to spend reward points

I have not been able to redeem any rewards since saving up my rewards on the new tile system. I have saved up over 1000 points and some are going to expire but I cannot redeem any reward that uses 500 points! Discovery's response was it was not available due to the popularity of the reward but no matter what I choose it says its unavailable! This is disgusting and false advertising as I cannot spend my rewards.
