Don't bother with Discovery Travel

I have still not received my refund.

Getting a refund through Vitality travel is a nightmare! I recently made a booking through Discovery Travel for hotel accommodation. I subsequently cancelled the booking. The refund is NOT processed automatically. You have to phone the Discovery Travel department. They issue you with a refund form - which you CANNOT complete online. You have to physically print it out, write all the information they already have, e.g. your bank details and booking number. You have to scan and send it back to them. When you return the scanned document, you get an error message which says their inbox is full and it cannot be delivered. "Your message couldn't be delivered to ***. Their inbox is full, or it's getting too much mail right now."

After numerous attempts, they CHARGE AN ADMIN fee of at least R270 to process the cancellation!!!

Apparently it takes 6-8 WEEKS to process the refund AFTER having finally received the booking cancellation form on their side.

The small discount through Discovery travel is not worth it. STAY AWAY!
