DISCOVERY VITALITY MONTH OF HELL

If I could, I would give Vitality zero stars.

The past month has been a nightmare with me trying to sort out this issue. Since June 2017 I have been a Vitality member through my Discovery Medical Aid. I reached Gold that year and have maintained it until now. In April 2019 I resigned from my previous employer which meant they had to cancel my medical aid. I then called in, concerned about my Vitality and wanted to ensure that it continued seamlessly when I moved to my new medical aid - Bankmed. I was assured by the agent that everything would be fine and the changes will reflect on my Discovery App on the 1st May 2019.

Much to my dismay, at the beginning of May 2019 I discovered I was on Bronze status - somehow they UNILATERALLY decided I should move to my spouses Vitality seeing as I had added him to my Bankmed policy as a dependent (I did not consent to this and I KEEP SAYING I AM NOT A PART OF HIS LIFE POLICY SO THEREFORE YOU CANNOT JUST DECIDE TO ADD ME TO IT. AND BESIDES, I ADDED HIM TO MY MEDICAL AID, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND SO WHY WAS HE NOT MOVED TO MINE?).

After being sent from pillar to post, the only nice agent I dealt with, Shireen Esau, tried to help me even though this fell outside of her scope of work (she works for Bankmed). Shireen was assured that all was in order with my policy, only to discover they had returned my Gold status, but refuse to award me the points I have worked so hard to get. I am now told they have put me on a new policy and refuse to count any points I have worked to get this year. From this can I assume that you will not be awarding me my diamond status next year?

Vitality seems to forget that we pay for this service and treat its customers like s#it.

PLEASE FIX THIS AS I AM SICK OF THIS NONSENSE NOW AND IT HAS GONE ON FOR FAR TOO LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
