Discovery Vitality discriminates against a pregnant woman

I have been a loyal Virgin Active and Discovery Vitality member since February 2008. I am still on the old gym contract where I do not pay for my gym membership as it is included in my Vitality membership. In 2016, I fell pregnant and had complications due to subcutaneous fibroids. I was admitted to hospital with threatened miscarriage at 12 weeks and again at 18 weeks. On the advice of my doctor I had to stop exercising for the duration of my pregnancy. I returned to the gym as soon as I was able to after my pregnancy. However, my gym membership was cancelled by Vitality today without any notice or any explanation. When I phoned the call center to inquire about it, I was told that I only attended the gym 33 times in a rolling 12 month period instead of 36 times. I explained that I stopped going to the gym for a couple of months during my pregnancy due to ill health. The call centre operators I spoke to explained that there was nothing they could do to correct this error. I was not able to speak to a manager or anyone who could resolve the matter and reinstate my gym membership - a membership that I have been actively using for the last 3 months. I feel that I am being punished for falling pregnant and see this as blatant **************.
