Discovery Vitality cheats you out of your money
I am very disappointed by how Discovery treated me and cheated me out of points (and money). As soon as we took out my husband's shoe booster, they stopped allocating points for his heart rate. When we queried this, Matshepo Moeketsi, the Executive Relationship Manager said because his heart rate was not logged as an activity, we did not qualify for points. Please note that his heart rate was never logged as an activity in the past, but now all of a sudden, its a problem. Also, Discovery rules says you need a 80% maximum heart rate to get 300 points. Thirdly, it took them two months to pay attention to my query that was raised in April 2018 already. They consultants would just respond to your query with a one liner, and not even answer your question. So pathetic. Then you have to email them again, which means they will take another few working days to respond to your follow up email. That's why its now two months down the line, and only now they tell me they are not going to allocate my points. We have just wasted our time and also money paying almost R400 every month for nothing. We have done all our assessment, and are on Gold status, and the Executive health plan and still get these pathetic services. The proof of the heart rate is on fitbit website, of which we gave them access to, but that's still not enough for them. We bought shoes on shoebooster that we did not even want but because of the benefit, we thought it would be free since we are meeting our weekly goals anyways but now we have to pay for it! Don't let them cheat you out of your heart earned money, like they did to us.
