!!! DISCOVERY VITALITY APPLE WATCH **** !!!
I decided that 2016 is the year that I would get more healthy and so doing I have taken up a gym membership and got the Apple Watch on Discovery Active Rewards.

Discovery did not give guidelines as to how goals were calculated and I was started out needing 150 points a week to qualify. This goal was easily achievable and reasonable taking into account that I am a newby to gym.

This soon escalated and I am not sure how this is calculated as no one actually want to say (from the Discovery call centre). Now I need to achieve 450 points a week, with a gym visit being 100 points each this means I need to go to gym atleast 5 times per week.

What I've been told is the cap is 1200 points per week, which to me is ridiculous. I am an father, employee, part time student and so much more one thing I am not is crazy. This watch around my wrist has now become a sentence to exercise, instead of a motivation.

I would not recommend anyone to take up this offer as Discovery is setting the bar at an unreachable level, THUS YOU WILL BE PAYING FULL PRICE FOR THE WATCH! PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE TAKING UP THIS OFFER.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF EXERCISING IF THE GOALS ARE UNREALISTIC!!!
Thank you for your post.
Vitality is a wellness brand and we strive to deliver on Discovery's core purpose of making people healthier. To do this, we need to reward members for clinically relevant, and verifiable exercise.
To ensure our benefits work optimally to achieve this objective, we need to constantly refine them to meet the feedback of our members as well as adjust to how we see the impact on behaviour of the benefits.
We acknowledge that the loss of points changes will impact our members on Vitality Active Rewards and we have therefore decided to recalculate every Vitality Active Rewards members' goal in order to account for these changes.
There are also many ways to earn more points in a day when your goal increases beyond this level including parkrun, heart rate tracking, and Vitality race events.

Discovery Vitality
