Discovery Vitality Agile - Hell No. They have more T&C's than the Government

Having being a vitality member almost 20 years, watching the benefits lessen and the rules blossom, its sad to see what was once a great benefit deteriorate due to bureaucracy

I have flown overseas 4 times this year on leisure trips and only once being able to use my vitality benefit as I don't book 6 weeks in advance. When I questioned why you have to book 6 weeks in advance, apparently it was always this way.

The same goes for hotel bookings, often I go to a function, a wine dinner or other social event and don't want to drive back or use Uber, as a Diamond Vitality member I apparently get 50% off the accommodation, however as I rarely stay 3 nights or more or book 21 days in advance I tend to use airbnb . When I ask the question about why the rules are this way, no valid response, apparently normal people do book more than 21 days in advance and stay longer than one night . I am obviously not normal.

Is it a benefit if you can't actually use it for what you want when you want?

My friends often ask me how many free coffees or smoothies I get due to active rewards, I tell them none as Discovery's app doesn't work on a Windows phone, but surely Discovery has a Plan B, surely they can send you an evoucher or make a plan. Sadly Discovery doesn't have a plan B.

Healthy food points are the same, rather than say, we will give you healthy food points for buying healthy food, its if you buy more healthy food than none healthy food - this doesn't motivate me.

However at the end of the year I won't be complaining any longer about the government mentality of one of our leading companies, I'm moving on and leaving vitality behind, after 20 years of being a member, will I miss it? maybe the movies, they were easy to use no issues, but not the other stuff. To much like behavioral marketing and there are plenty of other options similar in benefits and easier to obtain.
