Discovery Travel benefit more expensive then booking direct

Dur to Cpt flight direct from Safair is R1061 one way. Discovery Travel is R1221.

Discovery increases the price on the flight for Safair, Cemair and Lift and then applies a 15% discount which still leave the all flights more expensive then if you were to book direct with the airline.

For those that book through discovery travel benefit, you can instead pay using your discovery credit card direct with airline and still accrue rewards etc.
