Discovery Shoe booster miserable fail

End of March 2018 My one year cycle of Shoe booster finished. As a good steward I paid the activation fee for Vitality Running which then allows you to activate the Shoe booster AND GET CASH BACKS EVERY MONTH. I went onto the Discovery app under the active rewards tab to activate the shoe booster on 3rd of April (for the second year cycle). The option wasn't available and I presumed that because I paid for the running membership (which authorizes you to get the shoe booster with no extra payment) my shoe booster must still have been active (there was no option on the app or the website to activate the shoe booster) I consequently went to buy the shoes at the Shoe booster partner (Total sports) as I have done twice before for myself and my wife (which means I know the system). 2 months later I observed via my Credit card account that I am not getting any shoe booster payback (I get my full Active rewards exercise goals every week- which should translate in R1500/12 = R125/Month payback) I contacted Discovery at the end of May about it and they said my Shoe booster is not activated. I explained to them that my app still doesn't allow me to activate the shoe booster (I tried multiple times after 1 April and updated the app as well). After many phone conversation and e-mails Discovery finally fixed the software problem on the app last week which enabled me to activate the Shoe booster this week. I then asked them twice via mail that they please push back the activation time to 1 April so that my current pair of new shoes can qualify for the Shoe booster payback - I wouldn't have bought shoes over R2000 without this guaranteed payback in mind) They agreed fully that their system had a fault and I also explained to them that I have done this process twice before with success so I was not negligent in trying to activate the shoe booster and then presuming that it was active for the last two months. Upon multiple e-mails and phone calls agreeing to their fault Discovery is not willing to accommodate my request of moving the activation date backwards and refunding me the 2 cash backs that I am due. As a trained Engineer I find that Discovery's systems are on purposefully failing and then the customer gets the blame...How often does this occur with other customers as I work with complex systems every day? Now I am loosing out on R1500 on paybacks. And this after I have been a customer for almost 20 years on many of their products. Surely the customer should get some kind of benefit , especially as Discovery has agreed that their system failed. They say the onus was on me to discover the system was faulty?---this is madness!!! If this is not resolved I will discontinue all my Discovery products and make sure it get even more public. Fed up!!
