Discovery - Reference Number ***

Discovery – reference number *** Considering that I have recently moved more of my portfolio to Discovery – Life Insurance, Retirement Annuity, Car Insurance and Banking – I would expect that more would be done to investigate this case and do better in insuring that they retain me as a customer, by doing right, based on the advice which I received from the Discovery consultant. Around July/August 2020, I was considering getting an Apple watch, and benefiting with the Discovery benefit, but this has not been the case. In August 2020 I spoke to a consultant at Discovery, who advised that I can get the Discovery credit card, in order to be able to make a purchase on an apple watch, in order to get the apple watch benefit. And based on my achieving my weekly goals, I can then get a refund on the apple watch. Based on the feedback received from the consultant, I got a credit card, and went to buy an apple watch 21st August Based on the advice received, I was expecting to start seeing refunds on my watch from the month of September, but when I did not see this happening, decided to then give Discovery a call to understand why this was not happening. 20 October – I called and spoke to Takalani, and mentioned that I had not gotten a refund based on my meeting my goals. She gave me the above reference number, and said that she would revert post investigating the matter. 9 November – I called spoke to Fezeka. Advised me to go onto www.discovery.co.za and advised me to pay the activation fee of R999, in order to register for the apple watch benefit. I proceeded to make this payment to active the apple watch benefit, and asked if they could link this apple watch benefit, to my current watch as I bought it under the advice of the consultant, so only makes sense to do this exception and link up the two, as the purchase was made with my Discovery Credit Card, and I had been for years, exercising and reaching my goals. 10 November – I called Goitse and she said she would investigate and revert to me. Going back to the calls from July/August where I spoke to the consultant, and they would see what they could do for me. 23 December – I called and spoke to Thando and call got cut, wanting to get feedback on my previous call and when they would revert to me. 23 December – I called back and spoke to Siviwe and he then put be back through to someone who then put me through to Takalani who advised that they would not be able to put together the purchase of the watch and the activation together, in order to be able to benefit from the watch benefit. She instead advise that since I made the payment of R999 in November, I have 90 days to BUY ANOTHER WATCH in order to benefit from the apple watch benefit. I would expect a better service from Discovery, considering the many years that I have been with them. I hope to hear back from them soon, as if they were really serious about retaining me as a valued customer, they would do more at seeing how to remedy this situation. And in the interim, I will be shopping around again, at all my portfolios… You have my details
