Discovery bank spending goal ****

I’ve been a loyal supporter of Discovery vitality active rewards. I have the Apple Watch, iPhone benefit and all my products are with Discovery.

I was very excited for the recently announced revised vitality active rewards program. Until I realised it’s just a **** for them to make more money.

They have taken away one of extra bonus plays which I receive every week. They keep increasing my vitality money goal by 50 points each week. I am now sitting at 150 points which means I need to spend R1500 per week on my credit card to achieve the vitality money goal. They call this healthy spending. What kind of healthy spending forces clients to spend unnecessary money weekly to achieve their goals. I contacted a consultant at Discovery to address the issue. They advised they see the problem and will escalate it. A week later and I haven’t received any feedback.

I have decided to pay off my iPhone benefit as it’s not a benefit anymore. (Good for them they losing all the interest they were making on me)

I wouldn’t recommend anyone taking the iPhone benefit anymore. Discovery really needs to fix this if they want to retain customers.
