DISCOVERY BANK HAS RUINED MY LIFE-LISTED ME ON ITC FOR BANK CHARGES OF THE ACCOUNT I REQUESTED TO BE CLOSED TWO YEARS BACK

I AM PLEADING WITH HELLOPETER TO INTERVENE: - DISCOVERY BANK This is my 3RD post about discovery bank and I am pleading with the community here to please intervene with legal help as discovery has ruined my credit and I literally cannot do anything. I requested to close my credit card two years back as they gave me the account that i did not apply for. they refused to close the account and continued charging me bank charges for the account I did not use. six months later I opened a case with ombudsman and instead they negotiated with discovery for me to pay 50% of the bank charges for the account that I did not use and requested to be closed. In november 2022 I went on holiday and I was stranded when I discovered that discovery has listed me on ITC for bank charges of the account I did not use. I couldnt further my studies in January and now I cannot buy a car as my car is beyond repairs.

I reported this matter on hellopeter last month, but they came back to me and asked me to pay R3,400 for bank charges. I worked at a bank for 15 years and I know that after 3 to 6 months of the account being dormant, the account is closed and charges are reversed. that credit card was not just dormant, i sent a request to close it and still even laid a complaint to them 2 months later that the account is still not closed.

Please I am pleading for help with legal attorney. I have all the evidence with me. DISCOVERY BANK IS RUINING MY LIFE. I HAVE NEVER BEEN LISTED ON ITC FOR 30 YEARS.
