Discovery Apple Watch ****

This is a follow up to the issue I have experienced with the Discovery "Äpple Watch Benefit". The short version is, if you purchase the watch for anyone else but yourself on your discovery membership, you need to transfer it to that person within 60 days. The issue is Discovery take 60 days before informing you that you are not meeting your target.

So in summary, I have 60 days to transfer it, I only get notification of this 60 days after purchase and a very big "we are sorry we can no longer help you" from Discovery meaning I now have to pay for the watch.

Why cant they send you a notification in the first 30 days that you have not made your goal? Why? Why must it take exactly 60 days? So that you end up paying for it, simple. They would never offer anything they dont benefit from, thats the bottom line.

The transferring of the device is also quite interesting. I was first told it had to be done at the apple store. The apple store know nothing about this. Discovery had to call me back twice before they found someone who knew what to do and where to find the process on the website. Any email to Discovery yields a 5 day waiting period for a response. 5 DAYS?? What company offers such bad turn around times? I can email the deparment of home affairs and get a faster response. In fact, I have done just that. Lets see who responds first.

Bottom line, dont do it. Rather get a proper medical aid, and just buy the watch you want. You pay for it either way.

6 days today, no contact. I really dont have to point out the problems here, Discovery do a good job of demonstrating how poor their customer service really is. Well done.
