Device booster

It seems that the vitality device booster is just a **** to get you to purchase a device!! On the 11th September I checked on Discovery vitality site which devices are accepted. Garmin was one of the devices, so I logged on to Totalsport and purchased the Garmin ViviSport slate. Once purchased I noticed that it actually did NOT have the vitality sign next to it, so I immediately phoned Totalsport online and cancelled the order. I then proceeded to buy the Fitbit Alta HR the following morning (12 Sept). On the 13th I received my device and on the same day Discovery emailed me to say congratulations on my purchase and explained how to link and activate my device once received. I then logged into the app and went to the last step of activation and linked my device without any problems. Today when I wanted to check my progress on money back for the device, the app showed no device booster active even though the device is linked and I have been receiving points for steps, etc. When I phoned the call center I was told that my device booster was CANCELLED!! So I asked them who asked them to cancel it, and I was told because I returned the first device they cancelled the booster benefit. I received no communication from Vitality saying that it was cancelled, secondly the device that was returned was never activated or linked to Vitality and according to the Totalsport site was not an approved device, so why would the return of an unqualifying device that was not activate OR linked cause an automatic cancellation of my device booster???? I did not even receive the device as it was cancelled a few hours after ordering. Then I was told they will investigate, which takes 28 working days!! So all my goals reached will not count for cash back for over a month?? It seems they try to lure you with promises of cash back that just never happens.

I received a call after this post and told it will be sorted out. Today I received an email sorry they cannot help me....
