Beware of Discovery Vitality Apple Watch Deal
Don't bother getting an apple watch if you weight train or do any sporting activities that requires irregular movements (tennis, soccer) as the Apple Watch HRM cannot accurately record your BPM when you do these activities, this is also stated on the Apple website. What this means is if you're not a runner or cyclist you will not be able to achieve the require BPM to receive the points you need to achieve your weekly goals and thus you will probably need to pay for the watch. Personally I have experienced this doing Deadlift and squats my heart rate is racing but the watch has a low BPM, apparently because you squeeze the bar while holding it blood flow to your wrist is restricted, I must admit that it does work well if you cycle and run. I would have never taken this watch if I knew this upfront and because Discovery has now restructure the way points can be achieved I am regretting it even more, this is very unfair Dr Shrey Viranna. Please don't lie to us about how the restructure is keep us healthy we all know its about profits and the model that was originally built was floored. So Please don't paste that BS in the response. Please provide me with the CPA complaints number.

The Apple Watch is a reliable tracker for various physical activities as long as it is worn in compliance with the manufacturer's guidelines including wearing it tightly on your wrist. The changes we are implementing in April are not about cost, but rather about shifting behaviour to achieve better health outcomes for our members. With the enormous success we have seen of our Vitality Active Rewards benefit, we have also identified areas in which gains may be diminished. The April changes are in order to address these. Furthermore, we have always made it clear that our programme rules will change and adapt as part of our science based behavioural economics model. Our programmes and benefits are designed to develop with you. We highly value our members' rights and we always act in accordance with the CPA and all other relevant legislation.
In addition, we acknowledge that these points changes will impact our members on Vitality Active Rewards and we have therefore decided to recalculate every Vitality Active Rewards members' goal in order to account for these changes.

Discovery Vitality
