Archaic method for Fitness device point allocation

In line with my goal of becoming more heathly and leveraging this to boost my Discovery Vitality status, I recently purchased an approved fitness device so that I can sync workouts to Discovery's system and accumulate points for doing so.

Last night I completed a fantastic workout and tried my device out for the first time, and recorded 4 different workouts in the space of an hour.
As soon as I got home, I synched my workouts, eager to see my point balance increased.
To my disdain, I see that none of the 4 workouts which were uploaded qualified for points.

Upon further inspection, I realized that the reason for this is that each one was under 30 minutes.

So Discovery, with all your complex systems in place, I find it impossible to believe that your developers are not smart enough to build a system which can add time on multiple workouts done in succession. Each workout is timestamped so it is very clear what time and date it began and ended.

Due to your system being inherently dumb, I need to turn dumb down my workout programs so that your system sees the pre-requisite of a minimum 30 minute workout being met.
Really, I am beside myself trying to figure out how I've just bought a smart device and I have use less of it's functionality.

Can someone explain this to me and at the very least reward me my due points for last night's workout.
At 946 kcal burned, it is well deserved to say the least.
