APPROACH WITH CAUTION

I joined Vitality during their promotion of getting three months free. Although my agent told me it was the case, after I signed on I was informed that because I had gotten medical insurance and not medical aid I would not have access to the benefit. I was promised a refund but the company never delivered. They initially debited my account, reversed the payment and charged me double the next month. Although I gave dates, names and I know they have recordings of this agreement Vitality refuses to give me the refund promised to me.

Vitality is a good idea in theory, but in execution it is a different story. Also note that most of the staff do not seem to be too up-to-date on the differences between medical insurance and medical aid and what is offered for each. I have only been a member for 3 months, but I have probably called them 30x trying to resolve issues falsely advertised to me, and unfortunately most of them ended up in me realizing that I as lead astray and with their offices offering me no resolution. They give you the hopes of getting points and what not, but whenever you make an attempt to get those points you will be stuck down.

Also be careful when accessing any of the benefits, keep them to a minimal. You will be told too join the gym it'll be free then they'll tell you you need to join the bank. They will tell you to take the wellness check for points then they'll tell you the points are only for the medical aid. The app even recommended doctors to me who were not on the network. I had to set up three different wellness checks because even the nurses do not know how it works . This is the most frustrating part. One would think that calling the company would be the end to all problems, but it is the opposite.
