Apple watch benefit code doesn't work

This review is on behalf of my husband. He paid his activation fee for the Apple Watch benefit. He got a code to use at the istore, but for some reason the code doesn't work. We went to the istore twice, wasted our time. He phoned Discovery to log a query- someone phoned him to confirm that he did pay for the activation fee. That wasn't even the problem?? Then he phoned again and this was escalated. Now we're waiting- haven't heard anything. If there's a problem , just refund the activation fee. It's frustrating to wait and wait and phone all the time.
