STAY AWAY - They will ruin your life, and you will lose all your hard-earned money. Their bad reviews on social media as well as the Ombudsman says it all. They are quick to deduct premiums every month and to sell you a policy but once you try to claim they have so many excuses. Losing over R300k due to misconduct. The inconsistency shows a clear administrative error on Discovery’s part as well as the broker's application stage which resulted in the claim being rejected. It is unacceptable that we are being penalised for an error that originated within Discovery’s & Attooh’s processes after we had peace of mind that we were financially secured in the event of Life, Disability or unable to earn an income as promised when we took out the policies. I did not claim for anything, and my details is still the same and completed in full with every question asked. Now that I've submitted a claim for my husband suddenly the Disclosures is not completed and left blank. I never received the results from the Nurse so I'm 100% sure the document was amended after the claim. Why would we disclose everything on the application stage but not with a nurse. The only difference is with the application stage the broker had to physically complete the questionnaire by hand so you can't dispute that. The nurse's questionnaire was completed with your electronic device hence the reason why you can change/amend everything as you please. Even your Claim Assessment correspondence is incorrect as both documents indicates the incorrect information that was provided to you by the Dr's. I keep pointing out mistakes since the claim was submitted and it seems that they have an excuse for every slip-up that they’ve made on this policy and keep rejecting the claim.
