Not cancelled...

I'm a very unhappy client. I requested a cancellation on my policy, but this was not done timely and my account was debited. I request a refund.

Timeline: • 13 September – Discovery requesting details from me (no mention of 30-day notice period) • 13 September – My query to Discovery on what was required/relevant forms • 13 September – Notification that mail was not delivered • 13 September – Resent my query to Discovery on what was required/relevant forms (to the correct address) • 16 September – Discovery requesting a letter instructing them to cancel the policy (still no mention of 30-day notice period) • 18 October – Email to Discovery with letter requesting them to cancel policy. Take note that in the letter I specifically advise that it needs to be cancelled by 30 Oct as new policy starts on 1 Nov • 04 November – Email to Discovery querying why my account was debited, when I had cancelled the policy • 05 November – Email from Discovery advising electronic signature not accepted (still no mention of 30-day notice period) • 05 November – Email to Discovery with hand-signed letter • 06 November – Email from Discovery confirming cancellation but only now advising of a 30-day notice period (notice period only mentioned now) • 06 November – Contacted Discovery and spoke to Jareesha who requested I forward all communication to her to get the matter resolved. • 11 November – Sent a follow-up email to Jareesha requesting feedback/progress. But still no response.

Refund required.
