NO Response from Discovery Life

I have a Discovery Life Health Fund since 2007, and decided to cancel this policy to rather update my insurance portfolio under one provider. I received a quote for Life Ins and Car and Household Ins from Discovery.

On 3 July, I contacted Discovery Life and requested a cancellation of my current policy, but could not speak to someone as they were too busy. I received a Ref Nr and that someone will call me back. I was told that I have until 10 July to cancel to prevent any further Debit Orders to go through.

I phoned again on 5 July; again, too busy to speak to me, got a Ref Nr and that someone will call me back. I send a mail to the cancellation address formally requesting a cancellation on the 5th as well.

On 9 July; no response from Disc Life, so I phoned again. Again, too busy to take my call, got a Ref Nr and someone will phone me back. The call was then escalated due to lack of response, with a promise that someone will call me back. I told the agent that I am considering moving all my Ins to Discovery but need Discovery to start responding as this is a bad reflection.

On 10 July, I phoned again; same story; too busy; agent will escalate again with promises to personally come back to me by COB yesterday.

Up to now, I have had NO response from Discovery Life. I decided to stay with my current insurers and not move my portfolio to Discovery and informed the adviser handling my quote as such yesterday.

As today is 11 July, I will contact my bank to stop this Debit Order from Discovery Life.
