Misleading financial advisors

I had made contact with Discovery Life and was assigned an "adviser" he came through and I must say is a very good salesman as he won my trust over, I had a competitors quote of which he pointed out that Discovery has more benefits ie. "Parent child cover" included and "payouts" at intervals. So I signed up with him on this basis.

It's two years now and a new competitor recently viewed my cover and pointed out to me that I am not covered for the above-mentioned items as I am on the "Essential package" and not the "Comprehensive package" which I was led to believe im on.

I trusted this guy especially being an employee from Discovery, I didn't think he will mislead me hence I never scrutinized the documents sent to me.

I raised a query with him and its 5 working days and I haven't gotten a reply.

Very disappointed with this and I will be canceling for sure as this is *********, yet alone the competitor can do the same deal at R150pm cheaper!
