Life insurance declined without any correspondence or feedback before me wasting my time again and enquiring. FALSE promises

I have had a very bad experience applying for Life Cover. Discovery is my medical Aid and so I thought the process of Life Insurance would be easier. After a discussion of an hour with the agent and numerous questions he noted that there is a possibility of a counter offer with some medical conditions I currently have and then I can decide to exclude these or pay a higher premium. A nurse then visited my house and asked ALL the same medical question AGAIN wasting another hour. After three weeks I followed up on two occasion with no reply. After a phone call from my agent I get the news that they cannot give me any life cover due to my conditions. Not as was discussed with the agent (a counter offer or limited cover). For the last three weeks I thus had no feedback or even funeral cover. This is totally unacceptable after the agent stated that either I will get cover at the quoted amount or a counter offer and now I get the news that they can Cover me for NOTHING? This is not in line with what was communicated to me and I thus received false promises and wasted an hour of my time on which I earn an hourly rate. I need this resolved urgently and a quote for funeral cover but I will NOT spend another minute on the phone for the application as I did all this already twice. This is unacceptable - especially from my own medical Aid. It is against the Consumer Act to make false promises and I will take this further.
