Income protection/disability long delay and now I must pay for a second opinion?

<p>Unfortunately I have developed a condition called chronic cluster headaches. This diagnosed by a doctor over 2 years ago. My neurologist has submitted the requested report as well as my GP and another doctor. Discovery decided that they want me to see another neurologist for a second opinion but to crown it all they want me to pay for the visit? I find this most upsetting and disrespectful. This severe cluster headache consition has crushed my ability to work and has efectively bankruptted me, but Discovery want me to pay for a second opinion. I fail to understand why after all the years of paying my premiums without asking for a second opinion from Discovery, I am now treated like this. As I have said in my communications, you must decide if you are going to pay these benefits while I am still alive or after I have committed sucide. Cluster headaches are not called sucide headaches for no reason. The only way I have survived as long as i have is by the genrousity of family members. But I am now ready to give up. The pain is too great and I am deeply ashamed at my financial predicament. I request you do the right thing and get this claim processed as soon as possible. </p>
