Extremely bad service and paying incorrect parties
my late uncle took a funeral policy with discovery and listed two beneficiaries of which each get 50% of the payout.
They have administers of this funeral policy who are called Phakama.
Tebogo from Phakama processed our claim and paid one member the full 100%. Why ?
tebogo: the main culprit who received and processed the claim. Her E-mail: ***
Yolander Mathe who is the one that responded to the email of the payment enquiry.
Her supervisor ke Heidi. Her E-mail: ***
Then the person who did the investigation is Victoria from Discovery. The claim was submitted on the 18th of August. And they paid only one beneficiary on the 24th... So apparently they were saying there's only one beneficiary on their system but it was 50% now we asked who is the other 50% beneficiary, they refused to tell us. The payment that was done was apparently paid 100% to only one beneficiary. They refused to tell us as to even how much was paid to that one beneficiary. Now we are still waiting for the payment to come through since it was discovered that the fault was from their side.
Thank you for raising your concerns with us.
Kindly note that this matter will be escalated to management at Phakama Administration Services. They will respond to you directly with feedback.

Thank you for your response.
However the reason why we reached out to Discovery was because Phakama is failing us. We have already sent communication to their complaints department with no luck. It’s been weeks now and no one wants to come up with a solution.
Discovery has to step in because we are being failed by a company chosen by you to assist.
