Expensive, Disloyal, discriminative

I just wanted to maybe find out from other people's experiences with this department of Discovery. I have been a member of Discovery Helth since before 2012 first under my mother and when I became independent I kept them because they have my information (medical and others). One would think that after all this time being a loyal paying member they would develop some preferential advantage when coming to their other products (because you want to keep all your things in house). But no.

I recently app**** for life insurance and disclosed everything (that one would assume they already know), they made me jump all these hoops only for them to deny my appreciation. Discovery is expensive and they pay for bare minimum, and you core pay for all most all the services they give you and they do not pay at all some.

Questions: why am I human enough to pay them for medical aid but not enough for a life insurance because I'm chronic?
